The Langley Mill Pottery
Collectors' Society
The Society was formed by a group of local enthusiastic
collectors in March 1992 in Heanor, Derbyshire - less
than two miles from the original pottery site.
Since then the membership has steadily increased with
members in
all parts of the United Kingdom and as far away as New Zealand, Australia,
Canada and the United States of America.
Monthly meetings continue to be held in Heanor,
usually on the second Monday of the month, starting at 7.30 p.m. They
include illustrated talks on numerous subjects related to Langley Mill pottery
and generally alternate with either a Members' Evenings, when a particular Langley Ware
is discussed in detail, or the Annual Auction, or the Sales Table. A visit
to a pottery is usually arranged in May. Click
the Programme button for details of the current year's programme.
The Society also publishes a newsletter twice a year called
'The
Windmill', which contains information about the Langley Mill pottery, its wares, coloured
photographs, and articles contributed by both members and non-members.
Click the Newsletter button for typical pages from the newsletter.
